Bloomberg might not live there, but his choppy, “mazelike” kitchen, which needs some serious work, was shut down yesterday. It’s been 27 years since the last renovation, under the supervision of Mitchel London, and equipment and design changes are long overdue. The revamp is funded entirely by the Gracie Mansion Conservancy, and is designed by Studios Architecture and Petretti & Associates Construction Management. And because it sounds like way too much fun, there’s an indoor grill … and it’s gotta go. [NYT]
