More Changes at Griffou With New Ownership

Late in the day Friday, Eater got word that big changes were happening at Griffou (the restaurant dropped the “Hotel” part a while back, you’ll recall). Co-owner Johnny Swet confirmed to the blog that he and the other owners have parted ways with the establishment (they’re working on a new project, he said), and some unnamed other parties have taken over. A source of Grub Street’s tells us that the restaurant was so behind on bills and taxes that the investors finally voted to kick out the ownership, which sounds plausible given the chef shuffles and other upsets Griffou has seen over the past year or so.
