Gigantic La Marina Opening Tonight; Meatball Shop Headed to Upper East

• Gowanus favorite Brooklyn Brine has just opened up shop in front of its factory. Here, you’ll find varieties from chipotle carrots to spicy maple bourbon picks to the classic NYC deli pickle. [NYT]

• Uptown-ers rejoice, The Meatball Shop is coming to Second Avenue. Co-owners Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow have signed a lease on 76th Street, a space with around 70 seats plus a private dining area. The curate-your-own meatball favorite is scheduled to open in the winter of 2013. [Eater NY]
