At last night’s CB2 SLA committee meeting, Josh Pickard, Andrew Carmellini, and Luke Ostrom won swift approval of their app to sell liquor at their upcoming French restaurant, which, you’ll recall, is taking over the Chinatown Brasserie spot. Even though Pickard has been operating the space since 1990, he needs to apply for a new license because a new LLC will be operating the project. Pickard also revealed some more details: The first floor will include a café, bakery, takeout, and private dining; a separate dining room will be on the second floor. Pickard told us he still expects the spot to open later this year. [Earlier]
