The restaurateur who opened Balthazar, Pastis, and Pulino’s has had his first London project in the works for two years, and in the wake of a London newspaper review, Keith McNally today confirms to Eater that he and partner Richard Caring (Soho House, Le Caprice) will open an outpost of Balthazar in the old Theatre Museum in Covent Garden on February 12 of next year.

Though the restaurateur said previously he was against cloning his restaurants, City A.M. reporters were told the new Balthazar will “resemble the original as closely as possible,” which, if anything, leaves the door open for more McNally restaurants in London. On that note: “Rumours abound that Keith McNally is going to pimp up Notting Hill’s Cock & Bottle,” the WSJ writer Bruce Paling tweeted today, “just a shout away from Granger’s place in Westbourne Grove.”
