The affable guys at the ever-expanding, Brooklyn Navy Yard–based microdistillery (including, we should note, New York features editor David Haskell) get the Edible Selby treatment. “Kings County Distillery is the oldest whiskey distillery in New York City,” says master distiller Colin Spoelman, adding, “It’s about two and a half years old at this point.” Business has grown enough that Spoelman and Haskell are now selling bourbon and chocolate whiskey in addition to moonshine, and they’re even dabbling in growing some of their own corn.
