Former BLT-er Laurent Tourondel's first — but purportedly not last — NYC location of LT Burger is set to open early next week. Grub got a sneak peek at some menu items, including several of the ten burgers on offer (see our slideshow for images of the Smashed Smoke, veggie, and turkey versions). The bi-level restaurant holds 150 in all (it's a former bank and onetime laboratory of inventor Nikola Tesla), with bistro-style smoked mirrors and the requisite reclaimed this and that, plus communal tables upstairs. LT will be open for lunch, dinner, and happy hour (5 to 7 p.m.); see photos straight ahead.
