Coney Island blog Amusing the Zillion reports Tom’s Diner, the Prospect Heights restaurant which has been serving breakfast and lunch nonstop since 1936 without so much as a complaint about sore ankles, will likely soft-open its boardwalk counterpart over the weekend. Tom’s Coney Island replaces Cha Cha’s Club Atlantis at Stillwell Avenue. Walls have been rebuilt, windows added, and there’s also a roof deck that will open next summer. The new Tom’s will serve the same menu as the old one, with the addition of some seafood, and in a nice change of pace for the boardwalk, the restaurant plans to remain open throughout most of the year.
