Brian Smith, owner of the well-loved Prospect Heights ice-cream shop Ample Hills Creamery — which we hear is working on a second location — has signed a deal for his first cookbook, to feature “more than 75 recipes for homemade ice cream, cookies, bars, and toppings,” according to Publishers Marketplace (subscription required). Abrams will publish the book, which will no doubt have a recipe for the shop’s cult-status “salted crack caramel” flavor. [Publishers Marketplace]
