Eddie Huang’s ‘Fresh Off the Boat’ Is Also Now a Web Series

Turns out ‘Eat Cheap’ isn’t the only new video series today: Eddie Huang will now have his own show on Vice, Diner’s Journal reports, that will “explore the cultural and culinary habits of the local underdogs.” As such, the trailer for “Fresh Off the Boat” juxtaposes decapitated fish, tank-topped girls holding Kalashnikovs, chicken tenders, and lots of Rayon. The chef, who opened his first restaurant in 2009, has ascended into a media titan of sorts, and his memoir of the same name will be released next January. “Fresh Off the Boat,” the show, debuts next Monday.
