A man named Luis Martinez was feeling hungry on Tuesday night, so he went to the Subway shop inside his local Orange Country, Florida (of course), Wal-Mart and proceeded to order a Philly cheesesteak with American cheese, onions, and ketchup. That's when things went horribly wrong.
"He wants ketchup on the Philly cheese steak and I have never put — we don't even have ketchup at Subway — I've never put ketchup on anybody's sandwich," says clerk Lawrence Ordone, who apparently became so enraged by the thought of putting the red sauce on a cheesesteak that he confronted the condiment-loving Martinez, kicked a chair over, and threatened Martinez's life "in front of his wife." According to WFTV, neither man disputes the details of the confrontation, though Martinez says he didn't talk back to Ordone after his temper flared.
Strangely, Ordone was not arrested, the news station reports, but news outlets including the Orlando Sentinel report he has been fired from his job making sandwiches. "There's ketchup three aisles down," he tells WFTV, referring to the abundance of the condiment inside Wal-Mart. "You can go buy your own ketchup, and I promise to God, you can put as much as you want on it and nobody's going to say nothing." Hopefully someone will fund this guy's conviction and he can open his own, ketchup-free restaurant, where all of the rules are set and it never comes to blows.
