The Living Room Lives On

Though we heard that Pianos was checking out the space on Ludlow Street, it looks like the Living Room may be able to stay in its current location, which it’s occupied for ten years. Landlords have granted the Lower East Side music venue a one-month lease extension because they can’t find a replacement tenant. But even if this reprieve doesn’t last, the Living Room’s already hard at work to open a new location in the spring. You can help owners Steve Rosenthal and Jennifer Gilson raise money by joining their Pledge Music campaign: Donate $5,000 and get a reserved table at any show for a year, $2,500 for a chance to record a set at the Living Room, $100 for a signed Norah Jones or Lumineers CD, and $12 for a compilation album of live performances. Saving a New York music institution: Priceless. [Bowery Boogie]
