Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalaznick's much-anticipated Italian-American restaurant finally opens in Greenwich Village tomorrow. With Godfather-esque tile floors, servers who want you to have it your way, and Zac Posen vintage-style vests and tuxedos, Carbone will transport diners straight from Thompson Street's chess district to 1958 New York. The food follows the theme: Carbone's menu includes classic dishes like linguine with clams, lobster fra diavolo, Caesar salad, and carrot cake. This spot will be distinctly different from Torrisi and Parm but expect equally superlative menu choices. Click ahead to see more of the food, as well as shots of the bellissima interior.
