Mad Men made the devastating gaffe of having Christina Hendricks’s character Joan Holloway shout out Le Cirque on Sunday’s episode — but the episode was set six years before the restaurant actually opened. Ever the gentleman, proprietor Sirio Maccioni says no harm, no foul. A rep tells The Hollywood Reporter Sirio “loves beautiful women, that time and that period,” and has now invited Hendricks in for a special private dinner at the restaurant’s chef’s table, where she and her guests will be served a special French menu filled with circa-1968 dishes.
