The Queen: She’s just like us! Former royal chef Darren McGrady revealed her eating habits in an interview with the Telegraph, and Her Majesty eats Corn Flakes and Special K for breakfast. For lunch, she sticks to white fish or grilled chicken with vegetables, and her dinner is usually venison or salmon and a salad. And no matter where she is in the world, she takes a daily afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches, and sweets like a chocolate biscuit cake. Other quirks: The Queen approves all new recipes; enjoys a proper meaty roast lunch every Sunday; and hates garlic, paprika, and onions. If this sounds like your ideal cooking gig, she’s currently looking to hire a sous-chef. McGrady advises: “Watch a lot of Downton Abbey. Working in the kitchens at the Palace is exactly like that.” Sure it is. [Telegraph UK]
