Seems as though Sfoglia restaurateur Louis Ceruzzi’s long-awaited replacement for the once magma-hot Kenmare: Bowery Boogie reports an izakaya is coming to the space and should open “within the next few weeks.” (There’s not much to see inside the space right now, but you can check out its punchy and zig-zaggy website here.) A source tells Grub Street that former Matsuri and Hiro chef Tadashi Ono is the chef and a partner at the restaurant, which is called Maison O. He also just so happens to have a great-looking book on izakaya food coming out in November. [Bowery Boogie, Earlier, Related]
