Despite protestations from the likes of Bill de Blasio and Ira Glass, Café Edison’s Jordan Strohl tells Jeremiah’s Vanishing New York that the Times Square staple will close for business this Sunday, December 21. “We lost the fight,” he says, but adds that the Save Café Edison campaign “re-inspired” his family, and that they’re committed to reopening in a new location.

Strohl also tells the blog that they’ll stay open on Sunday night “until the last person leaves.”
