Here Are the 2015 James Beard Chef and Restaurant Awards Winners

The restaurant industry’s biggest prizes were handed out tonight in Chicago, the first time the annual gala has been held in the city. Gramercy Tavern’s Michael Anthony took home this year’s Outstanding Chef award, Blue Hill at Stone Barns was named Outstanding Restaurant, and the Outstanding Restaurateur prize went to Chicago’s own Donnie Madia. Other big winners: Christina Tosi was named Outstanding Pastry Chef, Del Posto’s Mark Ladner was named Best Chef in New York City, Bâtard is this year’s Best New Restaurant, Manresa’s Jessica Largey won this year’s Rising Star of the Year, and barbecue master Aaron Franklin took home the award for Best Chef: Southwest.
