Crowd-Funding

If an ice-cream-delivery service can become this successful, why can’t the same concept apply to grilled cheese? A new Kickstarter campaign seeks to raise money for a U.K.-based company called “Cheese Posties”: £3.99 per week buys all the chichi ingredients needed to make an excellent sandwich — good bread, butter, condiments, and, of course, great cheese. Co-founder Dave Rotheroe — the proud founder of a subscription hot-sauce service called “Lick My Dip” — has big plans: “We’ve already had pleas from overseas all over the world and would love to be able to offer a global service one day!” he says. “We’re thinking drones.” It’s safe to say that these delusions of grandeur can be blamed on that ridiculous potato-salad crowd-funding campaign.
