A Restaurant Owner Responded to a Bad Yelp Review by Trashing a Customer’s Karaoke Skills

After a birthday dinner for a party of 20 went sour at KC’s Rib Shack in Manchester, New Hampshire, Joyce Denham did the usual thing and flamed the joint on Yelp and Facebook. Her lovely review included:

We were having fun singing along with the radio when the OWNER came over to the table and very RUDELY told us to keep quiet others were trying to eat. Now mind you there were about 10 others in the bar and they were all laughing and having fun with us including the bartender and wait staff. When we confronted owner about him being rude he said he didn’t care! Let it be know We will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!!

The review has since been removed, of course, but her version of events apparently dumbfounded owner Kevin Cornish so much when he read them that he burned her right back, writing on Facebook: “I realize you felt as though everybody in the entire restaurant was rejoicing the painful rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody you and your self entitled friends were performing, yet that was not the case.” It’s the first time the owner has done something like that in his 17 years there, he says, but somewhere between staff asking her group to be quieter and two tables demanding to be moved clear across the restaurant to escape the sound came “the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
